Bad headache day, so this will be short. Going for a walk helped, and so did noticing a new chew mark on this tree. Signs of wildlife make me happy, especially animals you don’t see every day. We knew we had a beaver in this area because we’d seen the tell-tale tooth marks on smaller trees last year, which it—or they—had toppled. I’ll be keeping my eye on this tree. I hope the town doesn’t have a problem with this guy chewing through a big tree next to the walking path and trap it out. The creek isn’t that all the clean, but it must be good enough for this toothy critter.
