My little beaver buddy has been feeding some more on this tree. I might venture out after dark some night to see whether I can catch a glimpse of her. I also wonder whether the town will figure this out and set a trap to stop the damage. The tree is right next to the trail, and when it does fall it’s headed for the paved path.
Let the snow begin…apparently we’re in for several inches of it over the course of several days. Ironically, today is National Umbrella Day. We live right on what I call the snow line (meteorologists may also very well call it that). At our house the precip could be slush or even rain, while just a few miles west the precip would be snow. We never believe it when the weather folk say it’s going to dump on us. Only a few times in the past 20 years have they been right. These days, it matters not since it doesn’t affect me except tangentially when Hubby has to plow or be on call for plowing. When we first moved into our current house in 2015, it snowed a foot one weekend and then another foot the following weekend. I didn’t see Hubby for more than 24 hours. When he did try to come home, his pickup truck with the snowplow got stuck twice on our street. It took us (and a neighbor) 5 hours to dig it out those two times.
