Perseverance landed on Mars. Imagine going to another planet! Perseverance also helped me gather my 2020 tax info today, which—effort-wise—is probably like preparing for a mission to outer space. Every year I think it will take me only a couple of hours to get my info together for the accountant, and it ends up taking me the better part of the day. So while I sat in my office swearing my way through stacks of paperwork until 3 PM, Hubby made a half dozen new bird boxes and nailed them to the trees in our yard.

Fortunately, it was still daylight when I finished, so we headed to a nearby park with a lake and plenty of woodland trails. Walking was more like ice skating; treacherous going, which I’m sure my hips will remind about later tonight in bed. Like me, the boats and merry-go-round are all awaiting summer.
