Took Mom for her last dermatology appointment to get little spots of skin cancer burned off her face, head, and legs. She’s such a trooper; sometimes I just want to hug the stuffing out of her. After she got back from having lunch at the dining room (by herself), she took a nap. In the gray late afternoon, we took her for a roll in the wheelchair around Fort Ben Park. She has loved that place for many years, and always reminisces about going there with Dad to watch people fish on their tiny lake. That park is definitely her happy place, and it’s mine too. Zoomed with Mom and all my sisters when we got back. It’s so nice to see Mom happy. She exclaimed how lucky she was to have four daughters looking after her. Here’s hoping this major move will go swimmingly. Just a few more days of saying goodbye to friends she’s known for years and whom she will probably never see again.
Spent the evening perfecting my pilot script and other requested materials from last week’s Hollywood pitch fest. Do I believe in miracles?
Loving all the pics from these last days! …and the Viking Cruises tag on her wheelchair — another great memory for her.
What a fabulous time you had, a little bit of everything! You have an amazing family! I am going to miss you but I know you will do great on your new adventure!!! I have so many wonderful memories and will cherish them always!! I will be there tomorrow to see you off. Safe travels!!
