Relaxing day, partly induced by the cool, gray weather. Hubby and I went to pick up large rocks from a building site, which he wants to use in his next project: a rockery in the front yard. We walked down the horse part of the bicycle trail, but he was so tired after working for 6 days this week, we didn’t go far. So what does a tired guy who’s been working outside in other people’s yards all week do on his free time? Work in the garden, of course! I made him a kale salad for the week, which he puts in burritos and smothers in salad dressing, and I also made 3 days’ worth of green drinks—all the green from our garden.
Did a Zoom call with Mom, my sibs, and some of my nieces and nephews this evening for Mother’s Day. Mom has been doing much better; much happier, although one of her dear friends died a couple of days ago back in Indy. We knew him well, too, and our mourning his loss. Every time someone like this passes, I’m grateful for my circle of friends, family, and acquaintances. So on this Mother’s Day, give thanks for the woman what brung ya into this world—and for all those whose beautiful lives have touched your beautiful life.
