Continued work on basement stairs they did. Railing they completed. Yay, says I. Continued work on driveway extension, they did. Lots of noise they made. Boo, says I. Loud and plentiful cicadas are. On sidewalks squished they are. To Wegman’s grocery store I rode on bike. Crab cakes I bought for supper. Gleeful to be out and moving faster than on knee scooter, I was. Incrementally better ankle is. Friday it is, so vodka and tonic mama splurged with today. Happy I am.
