Happy World Oceans Day. I haven’t been near an ocean since last September (the Atlantic) but nevertheless, they influence all of us every day everywhere. So take care of them. I did, however, capture some scenes from the garden today: peas, cauliflower, cucumbers, and kale. It may be getting time to make that pledge to spend one week eating nothing but what comes from the garden. Yesterday I made coleslaw from one of our cabbages (thumbs up from Hubby), and this evening I had one of my classic mixing bowl sized salads for supper, with a few garden veg. Lunch and supper are easily procured from the garden, but breakfast? It’ll have to be green drinks.
It’s also National Best Friends Day. I remain ever grateful for all of mine.
The second edition of my third book (“The Value of Your Soul”) is now available. I changed the subtitle from “Rumi Verse for Life’s Annoying Moments” to “Lessons in Dealing with Life’s Annoyances.” (But I still see the first edition on Amazon even though I unpublished it.) The idea is to boost sales because few people I want to reach have ever heard of the poet Rumi, and I didn’t think they would be inclined to pick up what is essentially a lighthearted self-help book with a title that doesn’t speak to that. Fingers crossed sales pick up.
Ankle healing progressing, and I’m getting used to the boot. One thing I like about it is that it makes me a few inches taller. However, I’m willing to sacrifice a couple of inches to have my normal walking life back. Sigh.
