It’s here—but it looks kinda small. I’m not very good at judging size, so I hope all our stuff that needs to fit in the pod fits in the pod. We have eight people coming by tomorrow morning to help move. At least one of them should be good at efficiently packing to make the most of the space. I’m fairly good at that, but I’m needed in the basement to direct traffic, such as what goes first, next, etc. I shall take sufficient pictures to document the day. To build up our energies for tomorrow, Hubby and I made our own pizzas and ate every last slice for supper.
This afternoon I met a former colleague from my former company for lunch. We spent two hours talking about the bad old days. Like me, she eventually quit our wholly dysfunctional team and the company. We also discussed her upcoming interview with the company I’m at now. I coached her in what types of questions they were likely to ask, even though I know she’s got this.
It’s been three whole days without THE BOOT, and I’ve been walking much better, almost normally. Although I did use the scooter at the grocery store because I love zipping around those concrete floors at top speed. So much faster to do the shopping and it keeps my purchases to a minimum because of the limited size of the basket.
Talked to Mamacita tonight, who remains cheerful but can’t remember the things she did during the day, so she makes it sound like all she does is sit in her room and read. But apparently she’s doing exercise classes every weekday morning, playing the piano in the hall, and taking acting classes! How cute is that, your 90-year-old mother treading the boards?
