Pinch, Punch, first of the month. I bested both Hubby and my friend for a double win. Not much else happening today. We went to Lowes in the morning for discount garden flowers, because we can’t ever have enough plants in our yard. It was gloomy all day, and finally rained mid-afternoon, although it wasn’t the torrential downpour I hoped for (because I need to check for leaks in the basement doors and windows before the drywall goes up).
I spent the rest of the morning doing laundry, washing dishes, and snaking out the toilet. Some people have all the fun. The first two chores were successful. The third, not so much; I think the snake was too short to reach a suspected logjam of crud—if indeed that’s the problem.
In the afternoon I created more 100 ads on Amazon for the rebranded version of my book The Value of Your Soul. Hubby and I ate in dinner in front of the TV watching the BBC’s Gardner’s World. I went for a bike ride in the cemetery afterward while participating on a family Zoom call via cellphone and earbuds. An appropriate way to end today: American Family Day, National Sisters Day, Respect for Parents Day, and World Wide Web Day.
Looking forward to going back into my office tomorrow to get away from the contractors and my cleaner, who will be making noise. In the meantime, spending the last hours of daylight enjoying this lovely garden that Hubby has blessed me with, including the corn that is 12 feet high.
