Sister is better today, and we’re praying for a release to go home tomorrow. YAY! The house was quiet today; no contractors but I did have a day of meetings and wasn’t finished until after 6 pm. Slipped out to my office to get some lunch (chicken cacciatore, roasted brussels sprouts, sausage, and pizza—the latter of which was supposed to be for Hubby but I ate it instead).
Talked to a guy on the phone whom I found on the internet while searching for replacement screws to attach a TV to its stand. The guy told me he never has much luck procuring parts for Vizio products. But he managed to find what I needed in a just a minute of searching. “Are you feeling lucky? Because I’ll tell you this: this is the easiest I’ve ever seen it with Vizio products. I’m serious, you should buy a lottery ticket.” He kept going on about it and must have said at least four times that I should play the lottery today. There was that coupled with my company giving us a nice wellness bonus to appear in our Friday paychecks, plus another $50 to expense on goodies as we see fit for an online party tomorrow during work, plus discovery money I didn’t realize had been paid out to me yet but that I was expecting. So, it seems to be a money day, and I bought a lottery ticket.
In other money-related news, we also received a Christmas card from our bank from guy called Mike. We have no clue who he is. We get a card from the bank every year with some random signature, as if they make their employees sign a bunch of cards, which the bank then sends to customers. Gratitude, as the card says. I’m feeling it, even if I don’t know Mike.
