I was supposed to work today (as in my paying job), but about an hour into it, I decided to take another vacation day. Didn’t make sense to work one day this week and there is still a lot to do around the house, putting it back together. This morning a man came to take away Hubby’s favorite couch and help move our new couch in the living room to take its place. After doing some measurements, we were afraid it wouldn’t fit through the door. But the guy says, “No harm in trying,” after which Hubby and he laid the couch on its back and started unscrewing the four feet. I measured again, and lo and behold…it was a bit like Tetris, but they got it in the front door! They also moved in the new swivel rocking recliner. All will be waiting for re-arrangement when we get back from our trip to Mamacita’s on Saturday. Speaking of her, there have been a few covid cases at the home, so our visitation is going to be restricted. It’s a bummer because we won’t be able to bring her back to my sister’s house (or at least it wouldn’t be prudent to do so), which means visitation will be limited to her room and only for me. Will no one rid of this troublesome virus?
Hubby procured more free firewood today because one can’t enough of it (apparently). I think he just likes to split it. I went for a massage, and when I got back, the two of went for a walk on this mild, gray day. We saw a couple of male foxes in the neighbor’s drive (one was in the drive staring down another one that was a few houses away). Neither seemed too bothered by us. It’s the first time in a while I’ve seen males; it’s usually the vixens that make their rounds through our back yard.
On another note, this is blog 1 of my last 4, and I’m really looking forward to not having to come up with something to say for 365 days in a row.
Cool couch! I understand how much you need to be done with these blogs. Still…I’ll really miss them, sis.
I’ll still blog regularly, at least going to try a self-care blog 2x monthly.
