Cold, windy, and sunny today and another one with my head buried in work. I was putting the finishing touches on a complicated process to prepare for a two-day documentation upgrade palooza for a set of 200 electrical switching procedures. (I know, some people have all the fun). It’s National Wear Pajamas to Work Day, although I imagine that hasn’t been much of a novelty this past year. I can honestly say I have never done this, even in these different times.
I went for a walk in a neighborhood where I usually don’t go but really love the houses. The cherry blossoms were in full glory as well. One spread is a few acres on a massive corner lot with an old stone house. It’s a local historical property, built in 1878 by the town’s first mayor. It was once several times the size and used as a dairy farm. When I win the lottery, I’m going to make them an offer. On the way back home, I passed the arts center, which was hosting an improv event at an outside stage. Stopped for a while but it was mostly high school kids being, well, high school kids.
Zoomed with the sisters and Mom this evening. She seemed happier today, although she’s always in good spirits on Zoom with us. My sister is bringing Mom to her house on Sunday so she’s looking forward to getting out. I keep praying she settles into contentment during these last years of her life. I think we’re both looking forward to the weekend.
Gorgeous “Rodey”….LOL, improv is a real crapshoot.
Technically, it’s an azalea, but it is the Rhododendron genus. 🙂
