Headachy and tired today. The cold makes me lethargic; probably the winter pulling me inward. I still try to get out for a walk despite the weather and my energy level. And it’s fun to see what people have been up to, building snowpeople and sledding. Being inside all day isn’t good for you. This winter I’ve seen more people outside than in past years—not surprising. There are few benefits covid has brung, but one would have to be reacquainting people with the outdoors and natural world.
The wildlife habitat signs in front of our house look lonely against the stark backdrop. Come spring and summer, the forbs and wildflowers behind those signs will be as high as me. But I can wait for that. I’m not minding winter today. When I arrived home, another covid test kit was waiting for me. I don’t have symptoms (I’ve been tested 5 times), but my company encourages us to test frequently, and pays for it.
Sarah, have you watched “Escape to the Chateau”? It is on PEACOCK. I see a lot in this show that relates to your time in Bearmear (sp..). A couple trying to farm, renovate a building, raise pigs and chickens and even plant trees. Fun to watch. We’re thru 10 of 30 episodes so far.
Have a great day
