Today was sorta like Christmas in that I finally got to get my personal belongings from my desk at work. I didn’t actually get to go in my office. Instead, our office managers met me in the parking garage. Due to a mix-up, they didn’t have all of my stuff and had to run back up to the floor to search for what was missing. All worked out fine in the end. They confirmed that the office plants have been watered regularly, so none died. The survival of the office plants had really been bothering me, even though they didn’t belong to me. So good to know they are thriving.
My belongings included a long folding table (used for doing puzzles during work breaks, plus a new puzzle I had left behind), an ergo mat, and a box of miscellaneous tchotchkes that I didn’t remember I had. Most of it was stacks of stickers; collecting stickers is a big thing in my industry, so I acquired them on my various work travels. I wonder if I could sell them online because my laptop isn’t big enough to sport them all. Some other things include a company Rubik’s Cube, Android toys, recycled plastic utensils, a paper tea cup, a box of zip bags. Most of it will probably stay in the box until we can return to the office, probably sometime in 2022.
I remember that hat you got when you first started working there.
Now, where to put it…
