Felt much better today. Hubby went to work, and I had grand plans to start hanging the wallpaper. After an early morning trip to Home Depot, I dropped by my sister’s house to check on her and my bro-in-law. He had foot surgery a couple weeks ago and is living in the basement largely immobile for a while. My sister fell on Thursday and damaged her coccyx. I did a few house chores for them and then took her to urgent care for x-rays (diagnosis: needs an MRI from a spine specialist next week). I didn’t get back home until 1:30, so I ditched the wallpaper in the yoga room, but I’m digging the partially mirrored wall. Instead I tried putting some adhesive binding on a carpet remnant, cutting padding to go under the new area rug, shampooing some other rugs we’ve had for a while, and cleaning up the messes left by the workmen yesterday.
Went back to my sister’s later to help with supper and other things. When Hubby got home from work, he started putting up his little polytunnels over the greens in the garden. We’ll have chard, kale, celery, and collards through December, if the temps get up into the 40s during the day (so far so good). Looking forward to the clocks going back to real time tonight.
Today’s gratefulness: for my mobility.
