A day in pictures with captions.

The bedroom is all covered up in anticipation of dust from the bath remodel. I’m going to miss sleeping on that perfect mattress. Let’s hope the work takes only 6 weeks, like the contractors say it will. We’re now occupying the two upstairs rooms for the duration.
Hubby had his last bath in the swimming pool of a tub tonight. He was nostalgic. I say good riddance to the waste of water and spa jets we never used, which, as a consequence, get all full of slime. Several months after we first moved into this house, and Hubby was taking swimming pool baths daily, and watering his farm in the back, and we were doing laundry to keep up with Airbnb guest rooms, the town wrote us a letter saying we were using more water than a household of two adults should. The new tub is 2 inches longer but only half as wide. Maybe we’ll stop getting nastygrams from the town water people.
After a full morning of continuing to move furniture, clothes, and general junk between floors in the house and garage, we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon stroll through our favorite garden center. I love these little greenery tableaux, complete with bonsai trees.
