Here\u2019s my guy heading out for a bike ride on a sunny but cool 43-degree afternoon (wind chill much lower on a bike!). I admire his dedication and how he pushes through cold, rain, muck, and pain to do his thing, be it work obligations or extra-curriculars. This is a man who knows how to just do what needs to be done (except for when it comes to certain things his wife would like him to do, but never mind). He suffers from chronic pain in his joints and frequently has problems with his feet, but he just keeps keeping on. He leaves the bath water in the tub so that he can dunk himself in cold water in the morning (Bear Grylls has nothing on him). I tried this once and couldn\u2019t get past dunking one foot in up to my ankle.<\/p>\n
After his bike ride he asks me what I\u2019m going to do. \u201cPost some things on my website, get in the sauna, and then read a book or do a puzzle for the rest of the evening\u201d (it\u2019s No Tech Tuesday after 6 PM). What he meant was what kind of \u201cburning physical activity\u201d was I going to do today. Oh.
