Today is International Women\u2019s Day, although it\u2019s always perplexed me why women get only day a year to be recognized. Same goes for Black History Month. Just a month? How about we recognize the value of all folks every day?<\/p>\n

Today, I\u2019d like to also recognize my cable company for keeping us connected to the internet. Trucks in the neighborhood explain why my connection has been sketchy lately.<\/p>\n

The first part of March also marks a few notable anniversaries for me: a year ago was the last in-person book presentation I did; the last day in the office before my employer told us to stay home until further notice; and the last time I was on an airplane. It\u2019s weird not having flown anywhere for a year (12 trips canceled in 2020), although I don\u2019t miss the hassle of air travel. It\u2019s been nice staying home. I feel more relaxed and have had more time for reflection. And more time to appreciate the flowers Hubby planted outside my office window.<\/p>\n
