The eye looks a little grim today, and I kept tugging at the stitches, forgetting they were there\u2014until it hurt as soon as I touched it. They come out next week, but I\u2019m still thinking up a backstory for the inevitable scar.<\/p>\n

The insulators came today to blow cellulose in the attic. They also cut a hole in each of the upstairs bedroom closets for access to the dormers to put insulation in there. He didn\u2019t find any raccoon carcasses, but he did smell something rotting that he couldn\u2019t see or reach. I guess we\u2019ll have to live with animal ghosts. He did say it was apparent raccoons had been in there: the insulation was all torn off the walls and shredded for bedding. Looking forward to seeing the results in the heating and cooling.<\/p>\n

After work, I put the dining room back together, cleaned every surface and the windows, and put the pictures back on the wall. We\u2019re up and running again with two puzzles going on the extended table. I\u2019ll have to put some touch-up paint on a small section above the door where the paint peeled off when they patched the ceiling.<\/p>\n

Tonight, Hubby and I sat on the porch trying to imitate all the bird songs of our feathered pals who were flitting around the garden. It certainly confused the cardinals and the crows.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t talked to Mamacita in more than a week. My sister and her husband is visiting now, so I\u2019ll let her enjoy their company. She got to see a minor league baseball game and, of course, eat ice cream. She\u2019s in good hands.<\/p>\n
