Picked up Mom for church this morning. You have to reserve a pew and they limit the number of congregants and you have to wear a mask. I like going to church with her; it\u2019s a familiar tradition that comforts, even though I stopped going to church myself decades ago (except when visiting family). I usually cry whenever we sing hymns. I don\u2019t why; maybe because Dad is no longer with us or maybe because it\u2019s a strong love I feel from the Creator or maybe it\u2019s something I\u2019m yet unaware of. Today\u2019s service was especially poignant because we sang a hymn that was a particular favorite of Dad\u2019s (\u201cWe Are One in the Spirit\u201d). He learned how to play it on the guitar; we sang it a lot in youth group gatherings and at non-traditional services.<\/p>\n
After lunch at sis\u2019s house, I drove Mamacita back to her place and said goodbye. Six hours later I arrived home. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed with Hubby. Also missing Mom already.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
