{"id":4028,"date":"2021-09-16T18:12:34","date_gmt":"2021-09-16T22:12:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lunarivervoices.com\/staging\/?p=4028"},"modified":"2021-09-16T18:12:40","modified_gmt":"2021-09-16T22:12:40","slug":"september-16-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lunarivervoices.com\/staging\/life-in-2021\/september-16-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"September 16, 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Things I know to be true today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing to interview for a new role even at a company you\u2019re already with sucks as much as preparing to interview as a new hire.<\/li>\n<li>Sometimes you have to stay up late to get things done because your procrastination skills kick into high gear when faced with things you don\u2019t want to do (see Habits I need to kick).<\/li>\n<li>Rainy afternoons are good for keeping you inside and forcing you to do things you don\u2019t want to do.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019d much rather be staring at purple daisies than at a computer screen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Habits I need to kick<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trolling the comments section of the online Washington Post to avoid preparing for an interview.<\/li>\n<li>Eating more chocolate than you should even though it\u2019s National Choose Your Chocolate Day and you claim you must honor it.<\/li>\n<li>Contemplating giving up tomorrow\u2019s yoga even though you need self-care because you think you\u2019ll spend that time actually preparing for that interview when, if you decide to forgo yoga, you would really use that time to sleep in.<\/li>\n<li>Allowing your little demons to tell you you aren\u2019t good enough for the new role.<\/li>\n<li>Procrastinating (so powerful it deserves a second callout).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Things I know to be true today: Preparing to interview for a new role even at a company you\u2019re already with sucks as much as preparing to interview as a new hire.
