Today is also Redhead Appreciation Day, which I reminded Hubby about a couple of times. Even though my hair has darkened over the years, once a redhead, always a redhead, in spirit and temperament. But I gave the day over to him because\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026Happy birthday to Hubby!\u2014a nice round number and one that somewhat freaks him out. He opened all his presents and cards this morning in bed, indulging in one of the Mars chocolate bars from his daughter. It is the birthday of books (he got 5 of them).<\/p>\n

His employer gave him the day off, so he headed out for a 12-mile run\u2013walk in Great Falls National Park. The rain cleared just in time. This afternoon we went for a walk at the farm park to visit all my furry friends and see some new piggy babies. We picked up Thai carryout and a small carrot cake for dessert. After a meal on the porch\u2014and much cooler than last year\u2019s birthday\u2014we watched Agatha Christie\u2019s Crooked House. Tomorrow we\u2019re off to Staunton, VA, for a three-day weekend of more birthday celebrations.<\/p>\n
