Mamacita was feeling better today but still didn\u2019t feel like coming over to Sis\u2019s house. So I went to her this morning, and we watched the livestream church service on YouTube. I\u2019ve always enjoyed singing hymns in church, and they always make me cry for some reason. Today, Mama and I sang together in her room while attending church over a computer. I never would have conceived of such a thing back in the day; back in high school when I sang in the choir she led in a little country church in Illinois; back when her voice was crisp and clear, always on key. Today her voice struggles for strength, but it is still beautiful to me. And instead of crying during today\u2019s hymns, some of my favorites, I was happy and honored to share the hymnal with Mama and sing the best we two could scratch out. Was so thoroughly special to share that hour with her.<\/p>\n

After church I showed her more pictures I had taken and then escorted her down to lunch, saying goodbye until next month. I had a 6-hour drive home, cool and cloudy with a couple hours rain in Pennsylvania. I arrived just before 7 pm, greeted by Hubby, who was happy to see me. Good to be home and already missing my Mamacita.<\/p>\n
