Tiler guy came today to prep the bathroom before laying the tile. He\u2019s got a large job to do: the entire floor plus 2.5 walls in the shower area. I\u2019m told he\u2019s slow and meticulous but does outstanding work. I\u2019d like to think of my own work that way, but the older I get, the slower I get\u2014and I sometimes struggle with the \u201coutstanding\u201d part. I feel more focused in this new role, probably because it is new, and see lots of potential to grow the team\u2019s business. My manager seems like the type to give free rein as long as we track to our team objectives and key results. In an ideal world, I\u2019d be independently wealthy and not have to work for others; just do my creative writing and dabble in community service.<\/p>\n
To keep that independently wealthy dream alive, however, I need to start thinking about my personal objectives and results for the coming year. Lots of creative writing projects on my to-do list and probably some live storytelling here and there. The trouble is prioritizing; should I go for the one with potential to make money? Or should I pursue the one I\u2019m most passionate about? With luck, they\u2019ll be one and the same. This daily blog was an objective sprung from a wild hare late last year, and I\u2019ve managed to blog every single day for the past 327 days.
