Talked to my sister today, and she\u2019s better. She\u2019s tired and concerned but feeling loved by all the people who\u2019ve been praying for her. I\u2019m going to make an appointment with my cardiologist and insist on getting some tests that can take a peeksie at my arteries. Feeling grateful she\u2019s alive.<\/p>\n
The bathroom cabinets are set, and the tub is in the bathroom not yet hooked up. What\u2019s left is the plumbing, a few electrical things to sort out, the glass, and then the painting. Went for a walk as the sun was setting; it\u2019s been a long time since I\u2019ve walked alone on a path in the woods. I\u2019ve never been afraid to walk alone at night, but my age must be showing because I had a little trepidation. Occasionally women are attacked on trails in these parts, though I\u2019ve never given it much thought. I\u2019ve got a mean right hook.<\/p>\n
Today is the 80th<\/sup> anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and I\u2019m remembering my grandfather who signed up for the Navy as a chaplain in the South Pacific when he heard the news.
