It\u2019s National Resolution Planning Day, and I woke thinking I really needed to do some cleansing in 2022. I have an idea about that means; it was a powerful thought that will, in part, deal with some promises I tried to keep for 2021\u2014and failed a bit. One is say nothing if it isn\u2019t a) true, b) kind, and c) necessary to say. The other is listen more than talk, which I had moderate success with this year. And the third is to do something every day that brings me contentment, even if it\u2019s just going for a walk (that\u2019s an easy one).<\/p>\n

This morning, Hubby and I went for a walk in Mendon Ponds Park through the woods. The atmosphere was damp and chilly, which reminded me of winters spent living in Scotland. Part of the trail was scattered with adorable little fairy houses built into the trees; some had swings, others had little wooden walkways, and one had a door that actually opened. Hubby and I thought it would be fun to build some little fairy houses in our front yard and invite the neighborhood kids on certain days of the month to come by and search for little things, like a treasure hunt.<\/p>\n

Later we went for a stroll through Pittsford and then I picked Mamacita up for her doctor\u2019s appointment. The skin lesion on her scalp has healed nicely. Afterward I brought her back to her place and spent a couple hours in her room. I hung pictures of the family that she received for Christmas while she napped. When she woke, I showed her the pictures I\u2019ve been taken daily for my blogs. We also talked to the daughter of Mamacita\u2019s friend who died before Thanksgiving. I love spending these moments with her. Looking forward to seeing her again tomorrow morning for a little while. Tonight, my brother and his wife arrive from Rhode Island.<\/p>\n
